Artist Statement:
In appreciation for the positive contributions that African American have made to this United States of America, I focus my artistic talents to visually illustrate African Americans who truly believed in their abilities and boldly pursued their dreams. These are African Americans in spite of “Jail Bait” that may have followed/follows them throughout their lives are able to stay on point...African Americans who clearly understood the purpose of negative stereo types is to control a large number of people and prevent young folks, in particular from pursuing their dreams. One should always consider the source of criticism when pursuing a dream.
